So this is what over-indulgence at Zvíkov Castle may end up like. One slice of this sweet tart with apples, raisins and nuts may well lead to another and another and another…. Don’t forget to split up the slices first, or better still make two tarts!

Ingredients:
• 500 g of apples
• 300 g of sugar + 2–3 tablespoons for sprinkling on the apples
• 500 g of coarse flour
• 3 eggs
• 50 g raisins
• 50 g walnuts
• 1 packet of baking powder
• 1 teaspoon of edible fat and coarse flour     for coating the baking tray with
• icing sugar for dusting the tart with

Method:
Remove the cores and peel the apples, cut into thin slices, sprinkle with sugar and leave for 30 minutes. Add together all the other ingredients, mix and pour the mixture onto a greased and floured baking tray. Bake for about 30 minutes in a medium oven at about 160 °C. Remove and leave to cool then cut into slices and sprinkle with icing sugar. Serve decorated with fruit, fruit juice, cream or chocolate.

Note:
If we want an even finer dough for a special occasion we can add a bit of oil, cocoa and milk to it.
