IN THE COURSE OF THIS YEAR’S SUMMER TOURIST SEASONS VISITORS TO CERTAIN CASTLES, CHATEAUS AND MUSEUMS CAN PERUSE ORIGINALS OF THE FILM COSTUMES FROM CLASSIC CZECH FAIRY TALES AND OTHER FILMS.

Since April the exhibition at the chateau in Telč has been open to the public offering a cross-section of the more than thirty films made here. Barrandovsky Fundus has lent it the costumes and props. From June to October visitors to Horšovský Týn will be able to see an exhibition of one of the most popular fi lm fairy tales “Give the Devil His Due”. Visitors to the chateaus’ stable will end up in the mill or hell by means of stylised decorations on the chateau. On the 12th of June the Gallery at Kladnom Chateau, in cooperation with Barrendov, will open an exposition of the costumes from Zděnek Troška’s fi lms „The Most Beautiful Riddle“ and “Princess from the Mill“ which will last until 17 august. An exhibition of costumes from Arabela will be made public in the Kroměřiž Museum. At the same time there will be another exhibition open in the Becherova Villa in Karlovy Vary. This will feature the costumes and props from fi lms made in Karlovy Vary such as Shanghai Knights, Waiter Scarper!, Edith Piaf and Casino Royale.
